Please note that benefits are granted at the earliest from the date the application is submitted. To do this, you must contact the Leipzig Jobcentre. To avoid any interruption in your current benefit payments, the application for continued payment must be submitted to the Leipzig Jobcentre in good time before the end of the current approval period. Not only is the application for basic income support extensive – the decision notice itself also runs to several pages. This can be difficult for many people to understand.
