Welcome Centre of the City of Leipzig
The Welcome Centre of the City of Leipzig is a central, low-threshold contact point for initial orientation. The Welcome Centre serves as a "door opener" to the various services and offers of help in Leipzig.
Leipzig residents with a migration background - regardless of their residence status - can take advantage of the following services:
- Orientation and counselling sessions in English as part of the Citizens' Office services
- (Initial) counselling and referral to the relevant authorities on issues relating to everyday life
- Display and distribution of multilingual information materials
- Referral counselling to internal and external network partners
Migration counselling services for adults
Migration counselling for adult immigrants offers newly arrived immigrants individual counselling and concrete support in almost all aspects of daily life.
This counselling service is free of charge.

Youth migration services
The Youth Migration Service advises and supports young migrants between the ages of 12 and 27 in order to promote their integration, equal opportunities and participation.
This counselling service is free of charge.
The following offers can be utilised:
- Integration support and assistance on the basis of an individual support plan (case management)
- Referral to other services and facilities (e.g. welfare organisations, employment agency, local child and youth welfare organisations)
- Network and social space work
