Financial benefits/support for families

Mothers or fathers who live with their children (under 25 years of age and unmarried) form a benefits household with them. All members of the household may be eligible to receive basic income support for jobseekers (basic income support allowance). It is important that you include your children when submitting your application.

Single parents and pregnant women can apply for additional Financial benefits receive benefits. Children are also entitled to benefits from the Education and participation package.
