We are currently working on updating the basic income calculator to reflect the legislative changes to SGB II. The new basic income support calculator will be available online shortly. You will then be able to check, as a rough guide, whether your financial needs and income situation might entitle you to social security benefits. By entering some basic details, you will then be able to get an initial idea of your potential entitlement.
To check whether you should apply for housing benefit (Leipzig City Housing Benefit Office) or basic income support (Leipzig Jobcentre), you can use the following housing benefit calculator provided by the Federal Ministry of Housing, Urban Development and Construction. Please note when using this calculator that the City of Leipzig is classified in Rent Category II.
