22.05.2025 - Integration fair Leipzig

On Thursday, 22 May 2025, the Leipzig Integration Fair will take place for the first time at the Eventpalast on the grounds of the Alte Messe. From 10:00 to 15:00, over 60 companies and institutions will be providing information about training and employment opportunities for migrants - free of charge, accessible and multilingual.

2023

UN "Orange the World" campaign (25 November 2023 - 10 December 2023)

We live in a world in which violence plays a major role. There are currently 30 wars and violent conflicts. Violence also exists in our personal environment and manifests itself in many different forms. Gender-based violence in particular is omnipresent. Worldwide, it manifests itself most strongly in the form of domestic violence. In principle, anyone can be affected. However, it is mainly women* and children who suffer.

The Leipzig Job Centre has been part of the UN campaign since 2021 and is sending a clearly visible signal to the city's society by illuminating the AXIS passage. However, beautiful lighting alone is not enough, or, to put it in the words of UN Women Germany: "To put an end to gender-based violence, all people must recognise the forms of violence and their causes and take a decisive stand against them."

11.10.2021 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. | 4th "Women at Work" symposium
The main topics for migrant women are career opportunities in the skilled trades and self-employment. Women who have immigrated themselves will talk about how they started a new career in Germany: as trainees, employees or entrepreneurs. You can watch young craftswomen at work and try out your own craft skills in the live workshops. Hairdressers, beauticians and plasterers will be there, for example. There will also be lots of information about training and working in Leipzig.

The organisation Arbeit und Leben is once again inviting people to take part in the integration routes in 2021. On an interactive, tablet-supported and guided walk through Leipzig, immigrants discover new professions and integration offers. Participants can find out about apprenticeships and support opportunities in Leipzig.
