Families with children and especially single parents face the particular challenge of balancing family and career. The Leipzig Job Centre therefore focuses on the needs of the entire family when placing customers and provides holistic advice. We want to support you as much as possible when you start your career, but also when you return to work early after family leave.

The Leipzig Job Centre offers you a wide range of opportunities to develop your career prospects, taking into account the compatibility of family and career.

Did you know that the Leipzig Job Centre regularly organises a "Family Info Fair" together with various Leipzig network partners? At the fair, you can obtain comprehensive information about job vacancies, further training opportunities, childcare services, support and counselling services in the city of Leipzig and much more.

LTA focus region

Since 2019, the Leipzig Job Centre has been one of 45 focus regions nationwide on the topic of long-term unemployment (LZA) and deals with recommendations for action on "Integration work with communities of need with children". Our intensive placement services therefore include all members of the benefit community in benefit communities with children and involve the necessary external network partners according to their needs in order to support at least one parent in taking up employment subject to social security contributions.

We also provide support during the parental leave phase with accompanying measures.

Parents will receive these books (suitable for children aged 3-6) from their responsible employment agency at the Leipzig Job Centre when they start work
