Benefits for education and participation are provided if the child, adolescent or young adult receives a basic benefit that justifies the claim:

  • Citizen's income
  • Housing benefit / child supplement
  • Social Security Code XII / Asylum seeker benefits

Please note:

A separate application is not necessary for benefits for education and participation. It is sufficient to specify the respective needs (lunchtime meals, one-day excursions). Evidence in the form of attachments is required for the needs of learning support, school transport, school trips lasting several days and participation in social and cultural life. You can find these here (https://jobcenter-leipzig.de/service/download-center/)
