Pre-vocational projects for the integration of young people under the age of 25
Through various pre-vocational projects, the Leipzig Job Centre aims to offer young people between the ages of 18 and 25 support in acquiring the basics for work or training, developing personal goals and finding solutions for overcoming personal problems.
Pre-vocational projects are aimed at young people who have broken off their first attempts at work or training for personal reasons.
The vocational preparation projects help with this:
- recognise your own strengths,
- gain experience in various professional fields,
- acquire basic professional knowledge,
- Develop motivation through your own goals,
- strengthen team spirit and
- to clarify problems.
These goals are to be achieved through practical work. The young people can choose between the following occupational fields:
- Colour and interior design,
- Trade/warehouse/logistics,
- Housekeeping,
- Wood,
- Hotel/restaurant,
- Cosmetics/body care and
- Metal technology.
Social education workers are on hand to help young people with questions and problems. Solutions are worked out together, for example to avoid negative effects on their attitude to work.
