People from abroad
Acquiring sufficient German language skills is an important key to sustainable and successful integration into the training and labour market as well as into society.
At the Leipzig Job Centre, specially trained colleagues provide support and advice to people from different countries who are entitled to benefits.
In particular, language support programmes offered by the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees, such as integration courses and vocational language support programmes, are available. In addition, additional programmes and funding instruments of SGB II (link to the regular placement support services where applicable) are used.
Interpreters (or an interpreter hotline) will be called in for counselling sessions if necessary to ensure legally compliant communication with customers. Please inform your contact person before your counselling appointment if you require an interpreter.
Ms Graw - Coordinator for Migration at the Leipzig Job Centre - will be happy to answer any questions you may have in the context of migration.
