The Jobcentre Leipzig email inbox was closed on 13/06/2025. You can reach us in future via the mailbox service at www.jobcenter.digital. Please register as soon as possible in the online portal www.jobcenter.digital (can also be used as a mobile job centre app).
Please also note that we will no longer be sending out paper forms for further authorisation. This service will be discontinued as part of the switch to digital application routes. Please submit your applications online at www.jobcenter.digital or by post (forms are also available on site).
Account details required
From 1 January 2026, Postbank will completely discontinue the payment of cash in the form of so-called payment orders for offsetting (ZzV) in its branches. As this procedure has already been gradually discontinued since July 2025, a bank account with an IBAN will be mandatory from October 2025 in order to continue receiving citizen's allowance benefits. Anyone who does not currently have their own bank account and receives citizen's allowance must act now and open an account. Banks and savings banks are legally obliged to provide a basic account. Further information on opening a basic account can be found on the BaFin website.
