Please also note that we will no longer be sending out paper forms for further authorisation. This service will be discontinued as part of the switch to digital application routes. Please submit your applications online at www.jobcenter.digital or by post (forms also available on site available).
Account details required
The procedure for paying out cash in the form of so-called payment orders for clearing (cheques) will be completely discontinued by Postbank. From October 2025 a bank account with an IBAN is therefore mandatory in order to continue receiving citizen's allowance benefits. People who currently do not have their own bank account and receive citizen's allowance must now take action and open an account. Banks and savings banks are legally obliged to provide a basic account. Further information on opening a basic account can be found on the BaFin website.
