before retirement<\/h2>\n<p>With the federal programme \"Innovative Ways to Participate in Working Life - rehapro\", the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) is implementing the legislator's mandate to promote pilot projects to strengthen rehabilitation (Section 11 SGB IX). The projects are intended to test innovative approaches to supporting people with health impairments and to further improve cooperation between stakeholders in the field of medical and occupational rehabilitation.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"pdf\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bmas.de\/DE\/Service\/Presse\/Meldungen\/2021\/rehapro-neue-impulse-fuer-die-rehabilitation.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><i class=\"fas fa-external-link-alt\"><\/i> BMAS: rehapro - New impetus for rehabilitation<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The aim is to strengthen the principle of \"prevention before rehabilitation\" and \"rehabilitation before retirement\", to maintain or restore the ability to work and to reduce the number of people entering reduced earning capacity pensions, integration or social assistance. To this end, the Leipzig Job Centre launched the two projects <strong>SanusLE<\/strong> and <strong>LIPSY<\/strong> which expired in 2025. Since 2024, our third rehapro project <strong>\"G2 - healthy together\" <\/strong>which also enables a family-related approach for the entire community of need.<\/p>\n<h3>Our rehapro projects in Leipzig:<\/h3>\n<h3>G2- healthy together<\/h3>\n<p>The project pools the experience and knowledge gained in the previous rehapro projects SanusLE and LIPSY in working with clients with health impairments and extends the focus to the entire community of need or family. Up to now, the focus has primarily been on those entitled to benefits who are able to work, i.e. adults. In the \"G2 - healthy together\" project, the focus is on support in the overall context of the family.<\/p>\n<p>The focus here is on teaching health skills to all members of the community of need in the sense of \"helping people to help themselves\". \"G2 - healthy together\" takes a holistic view of the family and aims to counter health problems through prevention as well as consciously tackling existing difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>At the centre of the project are the health and family support workers (GFB), who act as \"carers and guides\" for the families. They arrange suitable programmes in the social area and take on the coaching and active support and supervision of the participants.
