funded employment are an essential part of the active labour market policy of Jobcenter Leipzig, even if they are subordinate to placement in training or work, qualification and other integration services. Publicly funded employment includes work opportunities (AGH) and the instruments of the Participation Opportunities Act, which came into force on 1 January 2019. These are, on the one hand, the integration of the long-term unemployed (Section 16e SGB II) and, on the other, participation in the labour market (Section 16i SGB II).<\/p>\n<p>These instruments offer people with limited chances of integration in particular the opportunity to find employment.<\/p>\n<p>The main aim of the work opportunities is to counteract social exclusion through meaningful, day-structuring employment opportunities and to support participants in (re)learning key skills for everyday working life.
